The Conference "FIGHTING THE GLOBAL FOOD CRISIS THROUGH CONSUMER CO-OPERATION" that will take place on 10th December 2008 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the European Parliament in Brussels. MEP Arlene McCarthy, Chair of the Committee on Internal Market and Consumer Protection, and Euro Coop jointly organise the event.

The objectives of this event are to present the actions taken by consumer cooperatives to counter the food crisis and the food price inflation. Views on the food crisis will be presented by members of the European Institutions. Representatives of the European consumer and farmer cooperatives will actively contribute to the debate.
