Euro Coop is glad to announce a workshop on cooperative financial services.

During this day, next Euro Coop's General Assembly will be held for member organisations only.

This workshop will be particularly important given the current context. With the financial and economic crisis expanding, alternative models of business such as our clearly appear to be more resistant and solid. Our seminar will be the occasion to illustrate this with some concrete examples from Italy, Finland, Sweden and the UK.

Having a unique relationship with consumers, consumer cooperatives have developed various financial services for their members as well as modern and adapted tools to finance their business activities. The workshop, which will enable to exchange best practices, has the following objectives:

• Reflect on the importance of financial services in the relationship between consumer cooperatives and their consumer-members
• Understand how consumer cooperatives manage to finance their business activity in an innovative way
• Reflect on the development of co-operative financial services in the context of the financial and economic crisis
