Euro Coop has launched an initiative to compare the different laws governing cooperative societies in Europe. This comparison is intended to help determine the relevant legal status and situation in each country and provide a foundation for the further development of cooperative laws and regulations in Europe.

The conference was based on a survey conducted a few months ago by Euro Coop. Speakers from several European countries described the legal situation and the applicable laws and acts in their native country. The purpose of the conference was to examine cooperative laws as well as all applicable tax laws and social security regulations.
