Coop Sweden Launches Digital Receipts
18.03.2021 00:00:00

Coop Sweden is now launching the digital receipt - a more sustainable, flexible and smarter solution for its 3.7 million consumer-members. From now on, shoppers will get a better overview of their purchases, more information about the goods they buy and will be satisfied with the fact that they are saving paper - a lot of it!
Coop continues its digital journey and is now launching the digital receipt. The goal is to create added value with every purchase and offer a new type of customer communication. Whether it is vegetables, meat or dairy products that dominate the kitchen, customers will receive valuable information in the digital receipt - all to facilitate and enable smarter choices.
"Paper receipts are limited in their design. We want the receipt to be more interactive, something the customer wants to keep or share and that creates added value. By focusing on what each customer wants, our digital receipt service can enhance the shopping experience", says Carita Weiss, Head of Payments at Coop Sweden.
With the right functions, a digital receipt can become a powerful tool for strengthening the customer offer and therefore empowering the consumer. With digital receipt management, you can attend to each individual's demands and daily needs to make shopping easier.
"Live receipts help you make conscious choices completely unconsciously. With the help of AI analyzes, the customer can, if they wish, in the long run receive automatic suggestions that guide to a more sustainable and healthy lifestyle", adds Carita Weiss.
To begin with, the digital receipt will be available to Coop members via the Coop Scan & Pay app. Thereafter, the service will be launched on coop.se and in the Coop app.
