Co-operatives UK's new report ‘Offering Hope to New Generations’ highlights how co-ops can help tackle the issues faced by younger people today.
This is one of the most challenging times to be a young person in the UK. Climate change, the UK economy, Brexit, job instability, social media pressure... it is no wonder young people are feeling pessimistic about their future.
The new Co-operatives UK report shares inspiring examples of young people already working and living co‑operatively across the UK and provides recommendations so more young people can take advantage of what co‑operatives offer to help build better futures.
Some key findings from our YouGov research show the positive impact that being involved with co-ops can make on new generations. Always close to local communities, co-ops can offer young people solutions to the challenges they face today, supporting them in feeling confident about their professional future.
