Euro Coop Appoints Fabrizio Fabbri as Secretary General ad interim

Prague, 10 October 2025 - The Board of Euro Coop – the European Community of Consumer Cooperatives – has appointed Mr. Fabrizio Fabbri as Secretary General ad interim, effective immediately.

The Board expressed its warm gratitude to Mr. Todor Ivanov for his many years of dedicated service and for his invaluable contribution to strengthening Euro Coop’s position as the voice of consumer cooperatives in Europe. Under his leadership, the organisation advanced its mission of promoting sustainability, consumer protection, and cooperative values.

As of 1 October, Mr. Ivanov has taken up the position of Vice-President at our Bulgarian member organisation CCU. The Board wishes him every success in this new role and thanks him once again for his outstanding work and commitment.

With today’s decision, the Board entrusted Mr. Fabbri with ensuring continuity in Euro Coop’s work and leading the Secretariat through this new phase.

Mr. Fabbri brings over 30 years of experience in environmental policy, sustainability, and European affairs. Before his appointment, he served as Sustainability Policy Manager at Euro Coop, providing guidance to members on legislative and strategic matters related to food systems and sustainability. His career includes roles in the European Parliament, the Italian Ministry of the Environment, and the Italian Permanent Representation to the EU, as well as leadership positions in environmental organisations such as Greenpeace Italy.

The Board congratulates Mr. Fabbri on his appointment and looks forward to working closely with him to build a sustainable future for consumer cooperatives and for Euro Coop as a whole.
